Dan Sipple was born and bred in the working class suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Dan showed early artistic promise sculpting animals out of clay in grade school and drawing Peanuts characters. Bolstered by encouragement from teachers, other students and the realization that bullys didn’t usually beat up artists, he began his lifelong pursuit of art.
After college the lure of sunshine and the big city proved too much for him and he moved to Los Angeles. Now, residing in the shadow of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains, he works as a freelance illustrator creating art for advertising and editorial projects.
Some of his clients include: Hasbro, Hallmark, Kraft Foods, Leapfrog, Marcel Schurman, McDonald’s, The New York Times, Seagrams, Sony Ericsson, St. Martins Press, Mattel, Chronicle Books, Better Homes and Gardens, National Geographic Kids, Merck and many others.
